1) “GET BORN AGAIN”: The story of Layne Staley, the late singer and founder of the Seattle Rock Band Alice In Chains. Rubio was assisted by Film Director/Writer John Brandon, who was a contributing writer. Although the script was successfully approved by a large Film Production Company in Burbank, CA in 2010, it couldn’t be made. The Staley Estate did not authorize it at that time.

 

 

2) “LELAND”:  This screenplay got the attention of Executive Producer Robbie Randall in Los Angeles, CA in November 2012. Randall was very enthusiastic about making this movie. Unfortunately, Robbie passed away on August 2nd, 2013.

 

To play the main character, Adriana Rubio contacted actor Johnny Strong (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0835001/). A business meeting was arranged for them by “Strong Management” to meet in Santa Monica, CA. It was a successful meeting.  Rubio also contacted actor Matt Harrison, actress Cara Mastrey and the representatives of actor Rex Linn amongst many others, but unfortunately no deal could be made after Robbie Randall’s passing.

3) “THE MASHED PROJECT”: A drama / action film that was submitted to three film companies, one of them in Sweden. No feedback was received for optioning this screenplay, but an unpleasant surprise resulted. The main theme of the story was then seen in a feature film and also in two TV series made by large production companies. Adriana Rubio believes these productions were based on her proprietary work.

4) “FEAR THE CIRCLE”: A complete new version of “The Mashed Project” currently on pre-production to be filmed in Shanghai, China sometime in 2018.  Main cast confirmed: Gary Cairns, Elise Muller, Don Danielson, Nicoletta Hanssen, Ashida Kim, Cara Mastrey amongst others, along with a talented group of Martial Artists and professional stunts. 5) “JIM MORRISON –IS THE MUSIC OVER?”

This documentary is the result of a ten year investigation on the life and death of James Douglas Morrison, internationally known as “Jim Morrison”, the lead singer and poet of the musical group “The Doors”. Did he really die?
